Specialized Mods – Limited Warranty on Repairs & Service
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Applies to: Medium- and Heavy-Duty On-Highway Trucks
1) What We Warranty
A. Workmanship (Labor & Installation)
Specialized Mods guarantees all workmanship performed at our facility to be free from defects under normal use and service.
- Heavy-Duty Trucks (Class 7–8): 6 months or 25,000 miles (whichever comes first)
- Medium-Duty Trucks (Class 4–6): 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first)
Remedy: If a defect in workmanship is verified within the warranty period, we will re-perform or correct the repair at no charge at our facility.
B. Parts We Supply
- Parts provided and installed by Specialized Mods are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
- We also provide a 90-day labor assist on eligible shop-supplied parts that fail under normal use within that period.
C. Electrical & Electronic Components
Electrical components, sensors, and modules are covered per the manufacturer’s policy. Our workmanship coverage applies to installation only. Programming and calibration labor are not warrantable for changes made after the repair or due to unrelated system faults.
2) What’s Not Covered
- Customer-supplied parts (including used or aftermarket components)
- Diagnostic time, inspections, or programming services
- Wear items/consumables (filters, fluids, bulbs, brake linings, belts, DEF, etc.)
- Failures caused by abuse, neglect, overheating, contamination, misapplication, or lack of maintenance
- Consequential damages (towing, downtime, rental, loss of income, penalties)
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications performed by other facilities
- Environmental damage, corrosion, accidents, fire, or flood
3) Claim Process
- Notify Specialized Mods within 5 business days of noticing the issue and before any third-party repairs.
- Return the vehicle to our facility for inspection. If inoperable, contact us first to request written pre-authorization for any outside inspection or tow.
- Allow us to inspect and verify the cause. If related to our workmanship or a warrantable part, we’ll correct it per this policy.
- Unauthorized repairs void this warranty for the affected system.
4) Limits & Conditions
- Coverage Area: Primarily at our facility; off-site repairs require written pre-approval.
- Labor Rate & Hours: Covered at our posted standard rate up to the original billed hours; no overtime or mobile service premiums unless pre-approved.
- One-Time Remedy: Coverage is limited to correction of the verified defect; the term does not renew after repair.
- Transferability: Warranty follows the vehicle, not the owner.
- Maintenance Requirement: Customer must maintain the vehicle per OEM-recommended service intervals.
- Jurisdiction: Governed by the laws of the State of Florida, Orange County.
